Most Trusted Downtack Lottery API Review

We signed up and tested the lottery results API provided by Downtack.

Coverage

The lottery results API provided by Downtack supports lottery games in USA and Europe. However, a clear list of games supported is not available from their website.

Uptime

There is no uptime information shared by Downtack. This is extremely poor and shocking for an API provider.

Ease of Integration

Getting started with their API is very cumbersome and time-consuming, with the need to get in touch with them, wait for them to manually create an account and provide an API endpoint. The whole process took almost 5 days before we were successful in retrieving the latest draws for Powerball and Mega Millions!

Downtack claims that their API is simple and efficient by returning the latest draws for all games in a single API call. However, different lottery games are drawn at different times. Returning the draws for all games in a single call is actually not efficient, not effective and a waste of bandwidth and computing resources to process a large chunk of returned data.

The documentation in their site is extremely poor and the API response is only available in JSON format.

Trust & Continuity

The domain downtack.com was registered about 10 years ago in 2016. It is just renewed and will expire in March 2027. Websites whose domain name is renewed annually may shut down anytime.

The Downtack website is poorly designed with no privacy policy and no terms of service.

Pricing & Plans

Downtack states that their price starts at $50 a month. With no transparency in their pricing, they may quote different prices for different users!

Customer Support

We first reached out to Downtack via email on how to sign up and we had to wait a few days for a response. Based on our interactions with Downtack, their response is very slow and their customer support is very poor.
